Setup guide

PM 1 2 3 4 5
  1. 1Alarm 1 and alarm 2 markers
  2. 2LED display
  3. 3The one button (every step uses it)
  4. 4USB plug, built into the unit
  5. 5Blue charging light

Four steps, about five minutes. Everything is done with the one round button next to the display. There are only two kinds of press: a tap (quick press) and a hold (keep it pressed for 2 to 3 seconds). If anything is unclear, message us and a real person will talk you through it.

1. Charge it first

Give it a full charge before the first night.

  • Slide the main unit out of the silicone strap. The USB plug is built into the end of the unit, so there's no cable.
  • Make sure the plug end is dry, then push it into any USB-A port: a laptop, a TV, or a USB wall adapter. There's no wall plug in the box. If your chargers are all USB-C, a small USB-C to USB-A adapter works.
  • The blue light flashes while it charges and stays on steadily when it's full.
  • To check the battery any time: with the screen off, hold the button. It shows the time, then the battery percentage.

2. Set the time

  1. Tap the button so the time shows.
  2. While the time is showing, hold the button for 3 seconds. The hour starts flashing.
  3. Tap to change the flashing number. Hold for 2 seconds to save it and move on.
  4. It steps through hour, minute, month, date, year, then 12 or 24-hour time ("12P" or "24H"), then height and weight. Height and weight are only for the step counter, so just hold past them.

If you stop pressing for 8 seconds it saves what you've done and goes back to the clock, so there's no rush, but no need to dawdle either.

3. Set your alarms

The band holds two separate alarm times, shown by the two little alarm-clock icons on the left of the display.

  1. With the screen off, tap the button to wake it, then keep tapping. It goes: time, steps, calories, distance, then alarm 1, then alarm 2.
  2. When the alarm you want is showing, hold the button to edit it, then tap and hold to set it, the same way you set the time.
  3. Use both if you like: a first nudge, and a back-up a few minutes later.

Tip: tapping past alarm 2 shows two extras, sleep tracking ("S OF") and tilt-to-see-the-time ("H OF"). You can ignore sleep tracking. If tilt-to-see shows "H ON", hold the button to switch it to "H OF", so the display stays dark when you roll over at night.

4. Wear it snug

  • Slide the unit back into the strap, display facing out.
  • Wear it snug on your wrist, on the inside if you like. Snug is what makes the buzz easy to feel.
  • For the first few nights, keep your phone alarm as a backup while you learn how you respond to the buzz.

If it didn't wake you

  • Check it's charged. When the battery is under 10%, the blue light blinks twice every 10 seconds.
  • Wear it a little tighter, or on your other wrist.
  • Set the second alarm a few minutes after the first.
  • Still no luck within 30 nights of delivery? You get your money back.
