What it won't do

  • Make an alarm sound. That's the point.
  • Need an app, Bluetooth, an account or your phone.
  • Go swimming or into long showers.
  • Replace a smoke alarm or a medical alert device.

Very heavy sleeper? Wear it snug on the inside of your wrist and keep your phone alarm as a backup for the first few nights. If it doesn't wake you, the 30-night guarantee has you covered.

Who it's for

For whoever's up first.

  • Early starts

Nurses, tradies, bakers, FIFO. Up at 4 without taking the house with you.

  • New parents

Don't wake the baby you only just got back to sleep.

  • Different schedules

One of you starts at 6, one at 9. Now only one of you knows it.

  • Shared rooms

Hostels, dorms, camp rooms and travel. Be the roommate nobody complains about.

  • Hard of hearing

It works by touch, not sound. Try it alongside your usual alarm before you rely on it.

Why not just use your phone?

Setup

Out of the box to first alarm in minutes.

Cheap alarm bands come with confusing instructions, or none. We wrote our own, in plain English.

  1. 1

    Charge it

Slide the unit out of the strap and plug it into any USB-A port. The blue light stays on when it's full.

  2. 2

    Set the time

Everything is done with the one button. The guide shows every press.

  3. 3

    Set your alarms

Two separate times: a first nudge and a back-up, or yours and a reminder.

  4. 4

    Wear it snug

Display up, firm on your wrist. Snug is what makes the pulse easy to feel.

Questions

Asked before buying.

Something else? Ask us. A real person replies.

Will it actually wake me up?

For most people, yes. A buzz on your wrist is hard to sleep through because it's on your body, not across the room. Wear it snug on the inside of your wrist for the strongest feel.

If you're a very heavy sleeper, keep your phone alarm as a backup for the first few nights. And if it doesn't wake you, you get your money back.

Will my partner hear it?

It's made to be felt, not heard. There's no alarm tone at all. Like any vibration motor it makes a soft buzz up close, which is why wearing it snug on your wrist, not on the bedside table, matters.

How do I set it?

With the one button on the band. There's no app and nothing to pair. Our plain-English setup guide walks you through setting the time and both alarms.

How do I charge it?

Pop the unit out of the strap and plug it straight into a USB-A port, like a laptop or a USB phone charger. The blue light flashes while it charges and stays on when it’s full. There's no wall plug in the box, so if all your chargers are USB-C, a small USB-C to USB-A adapter does the job.

How long does delivery take, and where does it ship from?

Delivery is free and tracked, and usually takes 6–10 business days anywhere in Australia. Tiptoe is a small Australian business. The bands are made in China, like almost every wearable, and ship from our fulfilment partner overseas, which is why it takes a week or two rather than two days. You'll get a tracking link by email once it ships, and there's nothing extra to pay on delivery.

What if it doesn't work for me?

You have 30 nights to try it. If it doesn't wake you, email us for a full refund, with no need to post it back. If it develops a fault within 12 months, we'll replace it. All of this is on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

How long does the battery last?

The manufacturer doesn't publish a battery-life figure, so we won't make one up. It has a built-in 60 mAh rechargeable battery, and the display stays off until you press the button, which saves power. Hold the button any time to see the battery percentage. When it drops under 10%, the blue light blinks twice every 10 seconds to remind you to charge it.

Is it comfortable to sleep in?

It's a light, soft silicone strap that adjusts to your wrist. Wear it snug enough to feel, loose enough to be comfy.

Will it fit my wrist?

The strap is soft silicone with a watch-style buckle and a row of holes, so you adjust it like a watch. If the fit doesn't work for you, that's covered by the 30-night guarantee.

Is it waterproof?

The maker rates it for everyday splashes and sweat. It isn't made for swimming, showers or baths, so take it off for those, and make sure the USB end is dry before you charge it.

Does it need my phone, Bluetooth or an app?

No. Everything is set on the band itself, so your phone can stay out of the bedroom.

Can I wear it as a watch?

Yes. Press the button and it shows the time. It also has a basic step counter, but we sell it for one job: waking you quietly.

Why don't you have reviews yet?

Because Tiptoe is new. We started in September 2026, and we'd rather earn reviews than copy them from marketplaces or write our own. That's why the 30-night guarantee exists: try it, and if it doesn't work for you, you get your money back without posting it back.

Is it a medical device?

No. Tiptoe is a vibrating alarm. It isn't designed to diagnose or treat anything, and it isn't a replacement for a smoke alarm, medical alert or safety system.
